A Dream in the Making Since Early 1990s
SJCustom might have officially started in 2024, but the dream behind it began much earlier—in the early ’90s. As a child, I was captivated by the idea of designing homes. From Lincoln Logs and Legos to pencil and paper, I would build houses with anything I could get my hands on. Even at a young age, I knew I wanted to create not just ordinary homes but imaginative, custom houses.
Fast forward 30 years, with nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, I have finally realized my dream. However, you might be wondering: if my dream was to build custom homes, why offer a handyman service? It’s a great question, and the short answer is that my path has been shaped by my faith.
My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, has redirected my journey, leading me to discover a passion for restoration in all its forms. While I pastor a local church part-time, restoring hearts to Christ, I still find joy in restoring homes, addressing the physical needs of maintaining and improving them.
As a handyman, I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to meet these needs, blending creativity with practical solutions. My clients trust me to not only fix their problems but to add a custom touch that transforms their space into something better than before. Over time, they’ve come to know me as a handyman with heart.
